Introduction
Why
A Special Issue? Since 1993, the University of Umeå, Department
of Education and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Department of Curriculum
and Instruction have collaborated on an unusual experiment in researcher
education. Through the generosity of the Swedish government with a grant
to the University of Umeås Department of Education and through
funding from the University of Wisconsin-Madisons School of Education
in the U.S.A., numerous faculty and graduate students have been sharing
their work and collaborating on different projects...
